Collection: Lapis Lazuli

Lapis Lazuli is found mainly in Afghanistan. Notable amounts of Lapis have also been found in Chile, Russia, Canada, Argentia, and Pakistan. It is a rock that is made up of three main minerals: lazurite, calcite, and pyrite. 

It has been used for thousands of years in jewelry and sculpture, paint, and cosmetics. The Egyptians believed only Royalty could wear Lapis Lazuli. The pyrite inclusions were considered to be hairs from the Gods.

Lapis is a member of the Cubic crystal system.

Metaphysically, Lapis lazuli is a highly spiritual stone and is known as the stone of truth and friendship. It brings harmony, love and protection to relationships. It also helps aid awareness and good judgement, which can help deepen relationships.
