Collection: Howlite

Howlite is a borate mineral found in evaporite deposits.

The most common form of Howlite is irregular nodes that resemble the cauliflower. Crystals of Howlite are rare, and have been only found in a couple localities worldwide.

It was first discovered in Windsor, Nova Scotia Canada by Henry How in 1868.

It is a member of the Monoclinic crystal system. 

Metaphysically, Howlite is a stone of patience and perspective. It is also known as a calming stone. It helps quiet the mind and facilitates awareness and encourages emotional expression.
